An orphaned page has no internal links pointing to it from anywhere else on your site, which makes it considerably harder for both visitors and search crawlers to discover, even if the page itself is otherwise perfectly fine — this report finds every orphaned page so you can decide what to do about each one.
Orphaned page identification report
Every page with no internal links pointing to it, found in one report.
- Full backup taken before we start
- If we can’t fix it, you get your money back
- We never ask for your own password
What we need from you
- Access to crawl the site comprehensively
- Confirmation of any page types that are intentionally meant to stand alone (like a private landing page), so they’re not flagged unnecessarily
- Your preferred report format, if you have one
This or something else?
| You want to know which pages on your site have no internal links pointing to them | This fix covers it |
| You already know which pages are orphaned and want internal links added | Internal link repair after slug changes, or a general linking fix — describe the specific scope needed |
| You want a broader indexation audit, not specifically an orphaned page report | Indexation audit & remediation report |
| You want outbound, external links audited instead of internal orphaned pages | Outbound link audit & rel attribute tagging |
What we do
- Crawl the site comprehensively to map internal linking
- Identify every page with no internal links pointing to it
- Exclude any intentionally standalone page types you’ve confirmed
- Cross-reference against your XML sitemap and Search Console data for additional context
- Compile findings into a clear, organised report
- Recommend which pages are most worth linking to, based on apparent value
What is included
- A comprehensive report identifying every orphaned page
- Intentionally standalone pages excluded based on your input
- Cross-referenced context from your sitemap and Search Console
- Recommendations on priority, without deciding content strategy for you
Not included
- Actually adding the internal links — a separate, related fix once you know what’s orphaned
- Deciding which pages deserve linking as a matter of content strategy — that’s your call, informed by this report
- Restructuring your site’s overall navigation, a separate, larger consideration
- Ongoing monitoring as new pages are added
Questions about this fix
Why would a page end up with no internal links pointing to it?
Often it's an older page that predates a navigation redesign, a page created for a specific campaign that was never linked from elsewhere, or content whose category or tag was later removed, leaving it stranded.
Does an orphaned page still show up in search results at all?
It can, if search engines discovered it through some other means (an external link, a sitemap entry), but it's generally at a disadvantage compared to a well-linked page, since internal links are a genuine signal of a page's relative importance.
Will you tell me which orphaned pages are worth fixing versus just leaving alone?
We flag relative priority based on apparent signals like existing traffic or backlinks, though the final decision on what's worth investing in linking to is a content and business judgment call that's genuinely yours to make.
Is this the same as a broken link report?
No — broken links point at destinations that don't work; orphaned pages are the reverse, existing perfectly fine but with nothing pointing at them from within your own site.
How often should this kind of report be redone?
Periodically, particularly after a navigation redesign or a significant content reorganisation, since either can inadvertently orphan pages that were previously well-linked.

If this is the second time this year
A bad update breaking the site is a symptom of updates not being tested first. Care plans run every update on a staging clone before it reaches your live site, which is the actual fix for this happening again.
Your access, your rules
Create a separate admin account for us and delete it when we are done. For anything else, we get in touch and agree a method — never a form field on this site, never by reply to an email.
We back up first, always
Before anything is touched we take a full backup and keep it for 30 days. If a fix goes wrong, we put the site back exactly as it was.
If it is not what you bought
If the problem turns out smaller than what you ordered, we refund the difference. If it is bigger, we stop and send a quote before doing any extra work.
If we cannot fix it
You get back what we received. Diagnosis is on us — you only pay when the problem is actually solved. The payment processor takes its fee before the money reaches us, so we never hold it and it is not ours to return. That is true here as everywhere else.
If it comes back
Reply within seven days of delivery and we put it back on the bench at no cost. The fix is not finished until it holds.
What we are responsible for
If something goes wrong with a fix, our responsibility is limited to what you paid for it. We take a full backup first so mistakes can be undone, and we tell you before doing anything outside what you bought.
