The sameAs property links your website’s schema to your other genuinely authoritative profiles — a verified social media account, a Wikipedia entry, a review platform listing — giving search engines and AI systems corroborating evidence that these are all the same, real entity, rather than isolated, unconnected mentions.
sameAs profile linking
Your genuinely-yours profiles linked via sameAs to corroborate your existing entity schema.
- Full backup taken before we start
- If we can’t fix it, you get your money back
- We never ask for your own password
What we need from you
- A confirmed list of every profile that’s genuinely, currently yours and worth linking
- Confirmation this connects to existing Organization, LocalBusiness, or Person schema already in place
- Access to implement the linking in the relevant schema
This or something else?
| You want your existing profiles connected to your site’s schema via sameAs | This fix covers it |
| You don’t have Organization, LocalBusiness, or Person schema in place yet to link this to | One of those foundational fixes first, since sameAs links to an existing entity rather than standing alone |
| You want a new profile created on a platform you’re not currently on | Outside this fix’s scope — this links profiles that already exist |
| You’re not sure which of your profiles are worth linking | We can advise based on relevance and authority during this fix |
What we do
- Confirm every profile that’s genuinely, currently yours and appropriate to link
- Verify each profile is active and accurately represents your business or the individual
- Implement sameAs links within your existing schema structure
- Test that the links resolve correctly and validate
- Confirm no broken or outdated profile links are included
- Document what was linked for future reference
What is included
- sameAs links implemented for confirmed, current profiles
- Verified, working links with no broken references
- Tested, valid schema output
- A written record of what was linked
Not included
- Creating new profiles on platforms you’re not currently active on
- Building the underlying Organization, LocalBusiness, or Person schema, if not already in place — a separate, prerequisite fix
- Ongoing updates as you join or leave platforms over time
- Managing or maintaining the linked external profiles themselves
Questions about this fix
Should I link every social media account I have, even inactive ones?
No — we'd recommend only linking profiles that are genuinely current and representative; an outdated or abandoned profile linked via sameAs can undermine rather than support the entity connection this is meant to establish.
Does this require the profiles themselves to link back to my site?
Not strictly required by the schema itself, though a genuine two-way relationship (your site linking to the profile, and the profile mentioning your site) generally makes the connection more credible overall.
What if I don't have Organization or Person schema set up yet?
sameAs links into that existing schema, so if the foundational entity schema isn't there yet, that's worth setting up first — we'll flag this if it applies to your situation.
Will this directly improve my search rankings?
It's one small piece of supporting evidence for entity recognition rather than a direct ranking factor on its own — useful as part of a broader, accurate structured data presence, not a standalone ranking lever.
Can I add more profiles later as I join new platforms?
Yes, this isn't a one-time, closed list — new genuinely relevant profiles can be added to the existing sameAs structure as they become relevant.

If this is the second time this year
A bad update breaking the site is a symptom of updates not being tested first. Care plans run every update on a staging clone before it reaches your live site, which is the actual fix for this happening again.
Your access, your rules
Create a separate admin account for us and delete it when we are done. For anything else, we get in touch and agree a method — never a form field on this site, never by reply to an email.
We back up first, always
Before anything is touched we take a full backup and keep it for 30 days. If a fix goes wrong, we put the site back exactly as it was.
If it is not what you bought
If the problem turns out smaller than what you ordered, we refund the difference. If it is bigger, we stop and send a quote before doing any extra work.
If we cannot fix it
You get back what we received. Diagnosis is on us — you only pay when the problem is actually solved. The payment processor takes its fee before the money reaches us, so we never hold it and it is not ours to return. That is true here as everywhere else.
If it comes back
Reply within seven days of delivery and we put it back on the bench at no cost. The fix is not finished until it holds.
What we are responsible for
If something goes wrong with a fix, our responsibility is limited to what you paid for it. We take a full backup first so mistakes can be undone, and we tell you before doing anything outside what you bought.
