We embed captions and transcripts you supply into your existing video content, implementing them correctly so they’re actually accessible to visitors who are deaf, hard of hearing, or simply prefer reading — the caption and transcript text itself needs to come from you or a captioning service; we handle the correct technical implementation.

  • The specific video and page this applies to
  • Confirmation of your preferred transcript placement, if displaying one separately from the video itself

You have captions or a transcript already prepared and need them embedded correctly This fix covers it

What we do

  1. Confirm the supplied caption file format and transcript content
  2. Implement captions correctly synced to the video player
  3. Display or link the transcript according to your specified placement
  4. Verify captions display correctly and remain in sync during playback
  5. Test transcript accessibility and readability
  6. Confirm the implementation works across desktop and mobile

What is included

  • Captions embedded and synced correctly to your video
  • Transcript displayed or linked per your specification
  • Verified playback synchronisation
  • Confirmed desktop and mobile function

Not included

  • Generating captions or a transcript from the video’s audio — that’s a separate, related service using a different approach
  • Producing or editing the video itself
  • Translating captions into additional languages, unless separately supplied
  • Ongoing embedding as new videos are added

Questions about this fix

Can you create the captions for me if I don't have them yet?

Not as part of this fix — this embeds captions and transcripts you already have prepared; generating them from your video's audio is a separate, related service using speech-to-text technology.

What format do my captions need to be in?

Standard formats like SRT or VTT work well and are widely compatible — if you have captions in a different format, let us know and we can confirm whether it's usable or needs conversion.

Will the transcript be a separate page, or embedded alongside the video?

Either approach is possible — we'll implement whichever placement you specify, whether that's directly beneath the video or as a separate, linked page.

Do captions need to be perfectly synced, or is approximate timing okay?

Properly synced captions are part of genuine accessibility and a better viewing experience generally — we verify sync accuracy as part of implementing what you supply, flagging any timing issues in your source file.

Is this required for accessibility compliance?

Captions for video content are a specific, commonly cited WCAG requirement, so yes, this is a meaningful and often necessary piece of broader accessibility compliance if your site includes video content.

Your access, your rules

Create a separate admin account for us and delete it when we are done. For anything else, we get in touch and agree a method — never a form field on this site, never by reply to an email.

We back up first, always

Before anything is touched we take a full backup and keep it for 30 days. If a fix goes wrong, we put the site back exactly as it was.

If it is not what you bought

If the problem turns out smaller than what you ordered, we refund the difference. If it is bigger, we stop and send a quote before doing any extra work.

If we cannot fix it

You get back what we received. Diagnosis is on us — you only pay when the problem is actually solved. The payment processor takes its fee before the money reaches us, so we never hold it and it is not ours to return. That is true here as everywhere else.

If it comes back

Reply within seven days of delivery and we put it back on the bench at no cost. The fix is not finished until it holds.

What we are responsible for

If something goes wrong with a fix, our responsibility is limited to what you paid for it. We take a full backup first so mistakes can be undone, and we tell you before doing anything outside what you bought.
