We configure locale and date format settings to correctly match each language version’s regional conventions — day/month order, currency formatting, number separators — so dates and figures display in the format your actual audience in that region expects, rather than defaulting to a single convention across every language.

Questions about this fix

Why does date format actually matter this much?

A date like 03/04/2026 means March 4th in the US convention but April 3rd in most of the rest of the world — displaying the wrong convention for your audience can genuinely confuse visitors about an actual date, which matters more than it might seem for things like event dates or delivery estimates.

Will this convert my prices into different currencies automatically?

Not on its own — this configures the correct formatting convention (symbol placement, decimal separator) for how prices display; actual currency conversion logic is a separate, more involved consideration if you genuinely need to charge in multiple currencies.

Does this apply to my whole site, or just certain pages?

It applies according to each language or region's context — if a visitor is viewing your German version, German conventions apply there specifically, distinct from what a visitor sees on your English version.

What if my site uses WooCommerce — does that need separate configuration?

Yes, WooCommerce has its own locale-related settings for pricing and formatting, which we'd configure specifically alongside the broader WordPress locale settings if that's part of your setup.

Will incorrect formatting like this affect my SEO?

It's more of a genuine user experience and trust issue than a direct SEO factor — a visitor confused by an unfamiliar date or currency format is a real, practical problem regardless of any search engine implications.

Your access, your rules

Create a separate admin account for us and delete it when we are done. For anything else, we get in touch and agree a method — never a form field on this site, never by reply to an email.

We back up first, always

Before anything is touched we take a full backup and keep it for 30 days. If a fix goes wrong, we put the site back exactly as it was.

If it is not what you bought

If the problem turns out smaller than what you ordered, we refund the difference. If it is bigger, we stop and send a quote before doing any extra work.

If we cannot fix it

You get back what we received. Diagnosis is on us — you only pay when the problem is actually solved. The payment processor takes its fee before the money reaches us, so we never hold it and it is not ours to return. That is true here as everywhere else.

If it comes back

Reply within seven days of delivery and we put it back on the bench at no cost. The fix is not finished until it holds.

What we are responsible for

If something goes wrong with a fix, our responsibility is limited to what you paid for it. We take a full backup first so mistakes can be undone, and we tell you before doing anything outside what you bought.
