Home / Fix a Problem / Store Not Working / Resource & staff scheduling configuration

We configure resource and staff scheduling — multiple bookable resources or staff members, each with their own availability — so bookings correctly account for who or what is actually free, rather than treating every booking as competing for a single, shared calendar.

This or something else?

You want multiple resources or staff members each configured with their own bookable availability This fix covers it
You want general booking availability fixed, not multi-resource configuration specifically Booking calendar availability errors
You have a single resource or provider, not multiple to configure This fix may be more than you need — a simpler setup might suffice
You want user roles synced, not scheduling resources Worth confirming — this is about bookable resources, not WordPress user permissions

What we do

  1. Confirm each resource or staff member and their individual availability
  2. Configure the booking system to treat each as independently bookable
  3. Set up any resource-specific rules or restrictions
  4. Test bookings across multiple resources to confirm correct, independent availability
  5. Verify no unintended cross-resource conflicts
  6. Document the configuration for future reference

What is included

  • Resource-specific rules implemented as specified
  • Tested confirmation across resources
  • A written note on the configuration

Not included

  • General booking availability fixes unrelated to multi-resource configuration
  • Payment configuration, a separate, related fix
  • Ongoing management as staff or resources change
  • Setting up the booking plugin itself, if not already installed

Questions about this fix

Can different resources have completely different availability schedules?

Yes, that's the core point of this configuration — each resource or staff member's own hours and availability are tracked independently.

What if a service can only be performed by certain staff?

We can configure this restriction so that service is only bookable against the appropriate staff members, if your plugin supports that level of rule.

Will adding a new staff member later require this whole setup again?

No, adding one additional resource to an already-configured system is a much smaller, quicker task than the initial setup.

Does this help prevent double-booking a specific staff member?

Yes, that's specifically what independent, per-resource availability tracking is meant to prevent.

Is this worth it if I only have one or two resources?

The benefit scales with how many resources you're juggling — for just one or two, a simpler setup might be all you need, worth confirming based on your actual situation.

Your access, your rules

Create a separate admin account for us and delete it when we are done. For anything else, we get in touch and agree a method — never a form field on this site, never by reply to an email.

We back up first, always

Before anything is touched we take a full backup and keep it for 30 days. If a fix goes wrong, we put the site back exactly as it was.

If it is not what you bought

If the problem turns out smaller than what you ordered, we refund the difference. If it is bigger, we stop and send a quote before doing any extra work.

If we cannot fix it

You get back what we received. Diagnosis is on us — you only pay when the problem is actually solved. The payment processor takes its fee before the money reaches us, so we never hold it and it is not ours to return. That is true here as everywhere else.

If it comes back

Reply within seven days of delivery and we put it back on the bench at no cost. The fix is not finished until it holds.

What we are responsible for

If something goes wrong with a fix, our responsibility is limited to what you paid for it. We take a full backup first so mistakes can be undone, and we tell you before doing anything outside what you bought.
