We implement an author bio and the supporting authorship signals (a byline, a link to more content by the same person) using information you supply or that’s already established elsewhere on your site — not written from scratch or embellished based on assumption.

Why this costs $49. An hour of a capable WordPress developer’s time runs about $82 in the UK, $100 in the US and $105 in the Gulf, and for anything urgent a two-hour minimum is normal. This is $49 for up to 45 minutes of hands-on work, with a full backup taken before we start. 2026 market rates.

Questions about this fix

Can you write the bio for me if the author hasn't gotten around to it?

Not as part of this fix — the bio content needs to come from the author or you; we implement what's confirmed rather than drafting it on someone's behalf.

Is this the same as the Person schema fix?

Related but different — this implements the visible bio and byline that readers see; Person schema is separate structured data specifically for search engines and AI systems, though both use the same underlying, confirmed information.

What if the same author writes across our blog and knowledge base?

We can implement the authorship signal consistently across both areas, linking their content together, as long as you confirm the same bio applies in both places.

Does this help with what Google calls E-E-A-T?

Clear, consistent authorship signals are one of several factors that can contribute to how content's expertise and trustworthiness is assessed, though it's one piece of a broader picture rather than a guaranteed effect on its own.

Can this be implemented for a team of multiple authors at once?

Yes, if you supply confirmed bio content for each author, we can implement authorship signals for several people as part of the same engagement.

Your access, your rules

Create a separate admin account for us and delete it when we are done. For anything else, we get in touch and agree a method — never a form field on this site, never by reply to an email.

We back up first, always

Before anything is touched we take a full backup and keep it for 30 days. If a fix goes wrong, we put the site back exactly as it was.

If it is not what you bought

If the problem turns out smaller than what you ordered, we refund the difference. If it is bigger, we stop and send a quote before doing any extra work.

If we cannot fix it

You get back what we received. Diagnosis is on us — you only pay when the problem is actually solved. The payment processor takes its fee before the money reaches us, so we never hold it and it is not ours to return. That is true here as everywhere else.

If it comes back

Reply within seven days of delivery and we put it back on the bench at no cost. The fix is not finished until it holds.

What we are responsible for

If something goes wrong with a fix, our responsibility is limited to what you paid for it. We take a full backup first so mistakes can be undone, and we tell you before doing anything outside what you bought.
