We audit your site for images missing alt text, then import the alt text you supply for each one — a combined check-and-implement approach when you already know you’ll want to provide the descriptions yourself rather than have them generated from the images.
Missing alt text audit & bulk import
Missing alt text identified, then your own written descriptions imported against the gap list.
- Full backup taken before we start
- If we can’t fix it, you get your money back
- We never ask for your own password
What we need from you
- Confirmation of the scope to audit (a specific section, or the full site)
- Your supplied alt text for each image identified as missing, once the audit gap list is delivered
- Confirmation of your preferred format for reviewing and submitting the alt text (a spreadsheet matched to image filenames)
This or something else?
| You want missing alt text identified and then import the descriptions you write yourself | This fix covers it |
| You want alt text generated for you from what the images actually show, not written by you | Image filename & alt text rewrite – bulk, in the Metadata & Content Generation category, the generation-based approach |
| You just want the gap list, without committing to fixing it yet | Alt text audit report with gap list, the report-only version |
| You know exactly which images need alt text already, without needing an audit first | A more direct implementation task — worth describing your specific scope |
What we do
- Audit the site for images missing alt text within the confirmed scope
- Deliver an organised gap list for you to write descriptions against
- Import your supplied alt text for each identified image
- Verify each import applied correctly to the intended image
- Check for any images in the original gap list that weren’t covered by your submission
- Provide a written summary confirming completeness
What is included
- A complete audit of missing alt text within scope
- Your supplied alt text imported accurately against each identified image
- A check for any gaps between the audit and your submission
- A written summary confirming completeness
Not included
- Writing the alt text descriptions themselves — that’s supplied by you following the audit
- Generating alt text from image content directly, a separate, different kind of service
- Broader accessibility issues beyond alt text specifically
- Ongoing audits as new images are added
Questions about this fix
Do I have to write the alt text myself, or can you write it too?
This fix specifically imports alt text you write yourself; if you'd rather have it generated directly from what each image shows, that's a separate, different service using a different approach.
What if I only get partway through writing descriptions for the gap list?
We can import what's ready and note the remaining gaps, rather than requiring everything to be finished before any import happens — worth discussing your timeline.
How is the gap list delivered so I can actually write against it?
Typically as an organised spreadsheet matched to image filenames or locations, so you can work through it methodically rather than hunting for each image individually.
Will this catch every single image, including ones added recently?
We scope the audit to when it's run — a comprehensive check as of that point, though images added after the audit would need a follow-up pass to cover.
Is this cheaper than the AI-generated alt text service?
The pricing reflects different work — this involves the audit and import of your own writing; the generation service does the descriptive writing itself — which is the better value depends on whether you'd rather write the descriptions or have them generated.

If this is the second time this year
A bad update breaking the site is a symptom of updates not being tested first. Care plans run every update on a staging clone before it reaches your live site, which is the actual fix for this happening again.
Your access, your rules
Create a separate admin account for us and delete it when we are done. For anything else, we get in touch and agree a method — never a form field on this site, never by reply to an email.
We back up first, always
Before anything is touched we take a full backup and keep it for 30 days. If a fix goes wrong, we put the site back exactly as it was.
If it is not what you bought
If the problem turns out smaller than what you ordered, we refund the difference. If it is bigger, we stop and send a quote before doing any extra work.
If we cannot fix it
You get back what we received. Diagnosis is on us — you only pay when the problem is actually solved. The payment processor takes its fee before the money reaches us, so we never hold it and it is not ours to return. That is true here as everywhere else.
If it comes back
Reply within seven days of delivery and we put it back on the bench at no cost. The fix is not finished until it holds.
What we are responsible for
If something goes wrong with a fix, our responsibility is limited to what you paid for it. We take a full backup first so mistakes can be undone, and we tell you before doing anything outside what you bought.
