  • Full backup taken before we start
  • If we can’t fix it, you get your money back
  • We never ask for your own password

What we need from you

  • Access to your multisite network’s admin dashboard
  • The new subsite’s intended address (subdomain or subdirectory) and title
  • Confirmation of whether it should clone an existing template subsite, or start blank

This or something else?

You want a new subsite created within your existing multisite network This fix covers it
You don’t have a multisite network set up yet Multisite network setup & configuration, the prerequisite step
You want an existing subsite extracted out of the network entirely, not a new one created Subsite extraction to standalone site, the reverse operation
The new subsite needs a custom domain mapped to it, beyond the standard network address Domain mapping errors, or a related domain mapping setup task

What we do

  1. Confirm the new subsite’s address, title, and template preference
  2. Create the subsite within the network
  3. Clone the specified template subsite’s configuration if requested
  4. Verify the new subsite functions correctly and independently
  5. Confirm appropriate user access for whoever will manage it
  6. Document the new subsite for network records

What is included

  • A new subsite created within your network
  • Cloned configuration from a template subsite, if requested
  • Verified independent function
  • Appropriate user access configured

Not included

  • Setting up the multisite network itself, if it doesn’t already exist
  • Custom domain mapping for the new subsite, a separate, related fix if needed
  • Populating the new subsite with unique content beyond what’s cloned from a template
  • Ongoing management of the new subsite as a standing service

Questions about this fix

What does 'cloning from a template' actually copy?

Typically the theme, active plugins, and any base content or configuration you've set up on the template subsite specifically for this purpose — it gives the new subsite a consistent starting point rather than a completely blank installation.

Can I create several subsites at once, all from the same template?

Yes, if you need multiple new subsites following the same pattern, we can set them up together as part of the same engagement.

Will the new subsite share the same plugins as the rest of the network automatically?

Network-activated plugins apply automatically across all subsites; a plugin activated only on a specific subsite (including a template) would need to be activated individually on the new one unless cloning handles this.

Does creating a new subsite affect existing ones on the network?

No, adding a new subsite shouldn't affect existing subsites' function or content.

Can I later give this subsite its own custom domain instead of the standard network address?

Yes, that's a separate, related fix — domain mapping — which we can set up once the subsite itself exists.

If this is the second time this year

A bad update breaking the site is a symptom of updates not being tested first. Care plans run every update on a staging clone before it reaches your live site, which is the actual fix for this happening again.

Your access, your rules

Create a separate admin account for us and delete it when we are done. For anything else, we get in touch and agree a method — never a form field on this site, never by reply to an email.

We back up first, always

Before anything is touched we take a full backup and keep it for 30 days. If a fix goes wrong, we put the site back exactly as it was.

If it is not what you bought

If the problem turns out smaller than what you ordered, we refund the difference. If it is bigger, we stop and send a quote before doing any extra work.

If we cannot fix it

You get back what we received. Diagnosis is on us — you only pay when the problem is actually solved. The payment processor takes its fee before the money reaches us, so we never hold it and it is not ours to return. That is true here as everywhere else.

If it comes back

Reply within seven days of delivery and we put it back on the bench at no cost. The fix is not finished until it holds.

What we are responsible for

If something goes wrong with a fix, our responsibility is limited to what you paid for it. We take a full backup first so mistakes can be undone, and we tell you before doing anything outside what you bought.
