When you already have a spreadsheet or list mapping old URLs to their new destinations — from a migration, a site restructuring, or content you’ve already reorganised — this imports that mapping directly and implements it at scale, rather than setting up each redirect individually.

  • Access to implement redirects at the appropriate level for your site

This or something else?

You have a prepared list mapping old URLs to new destinations, ready to import This fix covers it
You need help determining the mapping itself, not just importing an already-prepared one 404 mapping & redirect implementation, which includes determining appropriate destinations
You only need a single redirect set up Single redirect setup, a simpler, smaller-scale fix
Your existing redirects need consolidating or migrating to a different plugin Redirect plugin migration & consolidation

What we do

  1. Review your supplied redirect map for formatting and completeness
  2. Flag any rows with unclear, missing, or invalid destinations
  3. Import and implement the confirmed mappings at scale
  4. Verify a representative sample resolves correctly
  5. Check for any resulting redirect chains or conflicts with existing rules
  6. Provide a written summary of what was implemented

What is included

  • Your supplied redirect map implemented at scale
  • Flagged rows resolved with your input before implementation
  • Verification of a representative sample
  • A written summary of the import

Not included

  • Determining the mapping itself if you don’t already have one prepared — a separate, related fix
  • Fixing unrelated existing redirect issues discovered during implementation
  • Ongoing imports as you prepare additional mapping lists later
  • Consolidating multiple existing redirect sources, a separate, related fix

Questions about this fix

What format does my redirect map need to be in?

A simple spreadsheet or CSV with old and new URLs clearly paired is ideal — we can generally work with what you already have, flagging anything that needs clarification before import.

What happens if some of my mapped destinations are themselves incorrect or outdated?

We flag anything that doesn't resolve correctly or looks questionable rather than importing it blindly, so you have a chance to correct it before it goes live.

Will this create redirect chains if one of my new destinations also happens to redirect elsewhere?

We check for exactly this during implementation and flag any resulting chain, since consolidating to a single, direct redirect is generally the better outcome.

How large a redirect map can this handle?

This scales well to a large number of mappings — a bigger list just means more verification, which is reflected in scope rather than being a hard limit.

Is this faster than setting up redirects one at a time?

Yes, significantly, for anything beyond a handful of URLs — that's the specific advantage of importing a prepared map rather than configuring each redirect individually.

Your access, your rules

Create a separate admin account for us and delete it when we are done. For anything else, we get in touch and agree a method — never a form field on this site, never by reply to an email.

We back up first, always

Before anything is touched we take a full backup and keep it for 30 days. If a fix goes wrong, we put the site back exactly as it was.

If it is not what you bought

If the problem turns out smaller than what you ordered, we refund the difference. If it is bigger, we stop and send a quote before doing any extra work.

If we cannot fix it

You get back what we received. Diagnosis is on us — you only pay when the problem is actually solved. The payment processor takes its fee before the money reaches us, so we never hold it and it is not ours to return. That is true here as everywhere else.

If it comes back

Reply within seven days of delivery and we put it back on the bench at no cost. The fix is not finished until it holds.

What we are responsible for

If something goes wrong with a fix, our responsibility is limited to what you paid for it. We take a full backup first so mistakes can be undone, and we tell you before doing anything outside what you bought.
