Home / Ongoing Work / Integrations & Automation / Stripe dashboard settings & webhook configuration

We configure your Stripe account’s dashboard settings and webhooks to work correctly with your site — payment methods, currency settings, webhook endpoints confirming successful payments back to WooCommerce — through delegated, restricted access to your Stripe account rather than your full login, since Stripe specifically supports this kind of scoped access for exactly this purpose.

  • Full backup taken before we start
  • If we can’t fix it, you get your money back
  • We never ask for your own password

What we need from you

  • A Stripe account, with restricted or team-member access granted to us rather than your account password
  • Confirmation of which payment methods and currencies you want enabled
  • Confirmation of your WooCommerce or checkout setup that needs to connect to Stripe

This or something else?

You want your Stripe dashboard settings and webhook configured to work correctly with your site This fix covers it
Payments are failing despite Stripe already being configured Payment form integration errors, the diagnostic version of this same connection
You want PayPal configured instead of, or alongside, Stripe PayPal business account & IPN configuration
Stripe itself is reporting an account-level issue or restriction Outside what we can fix — that’s between you and Stripe directly, not something we can resolve on your behalf

What we do

  1. Confirm the payment methods, currencies, and settings needed for your business
  2. Configure Stripe’s dashboard settings accordingly
  3. Set up the correct webhook endpoint so successful payments confirm back to your site
  4. Test webhook delivery to confirm reliable confirmation of transactions
  5. Verify a complete test transaction processes and confirms correctly end to end
  6. Document the configuration for future reference

What is included

  • Stripe dashboard settings configured for your specified payment methods and currencies
  • A correctly configured, tested webhook endpoint
  • A verified end-to-end test transaction
  • A written note on the configuration

Not included

  • Creating your Stripe account itself, if you don’t already have one — a separate, simple prerequisite step
  • Resolving an account-level restriction or verification issue with Stripe directly — that’s between you and Stripe
  • Broader payment form integration debugging, a separate, related fix if issues persist after this setup
  • Ongoing management of your Stripe account as a standing service

Questions about this fix

Do you need my Stripe password to do this?

No — Stripe supports adding team members with specific, restricted roles, which is what we'd ask for rather than your actual account credentials, consistent with not needing full account access to configure the integration.

What if Stripe restricts or flags my account for some reason?

That's an account-level matter between you and Stripe directly — we can't resolve a restriction or verification hold on your account, since that's entirely within Stripe's own control, not something a configuration fix touches.

Will this guarantee my payments process without any future issues?

This sets up a correct, tested configuration, though a future change on Stripe's side, or an account-level issue, could still require attention later — that's an inherent characteristic of depending on any third-party payment processor.

Can you set up multiple currencies if I sell internationally?

Yes, if Stripe supports the currencies you need and your account is configured for them, we can set up multi-currency handling as part of this configuration.

What's a webhook actually for in this context?

It's how Stripe confirms back to your site that a payment genuinely succeeded, which is what allows your site to correctly mark an order as paid — without a properly configured webhook, payments can succeed on Stripe's side while your site never finds out.

If this is the second time this year

A bad update breaking the site is a symptom of updates not being tested first. Care plans run every update on a staging clone before it reaches your live site, which is the actual fix for this happening again.

Your access, your rules

Create a separate admin account for us and delete it when we are done. For anything else, we get in touch and agree a method — never a form field on this site, never by reply to an email.

We back up first, always

Before anything is touched we take a full backup and keep it for 30 days. If a fix goes wrong, we put the site back exactly as it was.

If it is not what you bought

If the problem turns out smaller than what you ordered, we refund the difference. If it is bigger, we stop and send a quote before doing any extra work.

If we cannot fix it

You get back what we received. Diagnosis is on us — you only pay when the problem is actually solved. The payment processor takes its fee before the money reaches us, so we never hold it and it is not ours to return. That is true here as everywhere else.

If it comes back

Reply within seven days of delivery and we put it back on the bench at no cost. The fix is not finished until it holds.

What we are responsible for

If something goes wrong with a fix, our responsibility is limited to what you paid for it. We take a full backup first so mistakes can be undone, and we tell you before doing anything outside what you bought.
