A broken Zapier or webhook connection means data that should flow automatically from your site to another system stops moving, usually because an authentication token expired, the receiving service changed its expected data format, or a URL endpoint changed — we fix the connection on your site’s side, but we don’t control what Zapier or the receiving service does on theirs.
Check Zapier’s own task history for the specific error, if you’re using Zapier
Zapier logs every run attempt, including failed ones, with a specific error message. Checking that history directly, rather than guessing from your site’s side alone, usually tells us exactly what stopped working and on which end.
Zapier / webhook connection repair
A broken Zapier or webhook connection repaired — we fix our end, not what either service does on theirs.
- Full backup taken before we start
- If we can’t fix it, you get your money back
- We never ask for your own password
This or something else?
| A Zapier zap or direct webhook connection has stopped working or is failing intermittently | This fix covers it |
| The connection is specifically to a CRM, not a general webhook or Zapier flow | CRM integration failure, a more specific version of this same underlying problem |
| You want a new Zapier scenario built from scratch, not an existing one repaired | Zapier scenario build from supplied spec, in the Third-party SaaS Configuration category |
| The receiving service itself is reporting an outage | Outside what we can fix — that’s the third-party service’s own issue, on their timeline |
What you are seeing
- A zap or webhook that previously worked now failing or not triggering
- Zapier’s task history showing failed runs with a specific error
- Data arriving incomplete or malformed at the receiving end
- The issue possibly starting after a plugin update, a Zapier account change, or a change on the receiving service’s side
Common causes
- An authentication token or API key expiring on either end of the connection
- The webhook URL changing on either the sending or receiving side without updating the other
- A data format change on the receiving service’s side no longer matching what’s being sent
- A Zapier plan limit (task volume, specific app tier) being reached or changed
- SSL certificate validation failing on one end, silently rejecting requests that used to succeed without error
What we do
- Check Zapier’s task history or the webhook logs for the specific failure
- Identify whether the break is authentication, URL mismatch, or data format related
- Reconnect or reconfigure the connection to restore correct function
- Test with a real trigger event to confirm data flows correctly end to end
- Verify data arrives complete and correctly formatted at the destination
- Flag clearly if the cause is a limitation on Zapier’s or the receiving service’s own side
What is included
- The specific cause of the connection failure identified and corrected, where within our control
- A tested, confirmed working connection end to end
- Verified complete, correctly formatted data at the destination
- A clear flag if the cause is on a third-party service’s own side
Not included
- Resolving a genuine outage or bug on Zapier’s or the receiving service’s own platform
- Upgrading your Zapier plan or negotiating with either provider on your behalf
- Building an entirely new zap or webhook flow from scratch, a separate, related fix
- Ongoing monitoring for future changes on either connected service’s side
Questions about this fix
Do you need access to my Zapier account to fix this?
Generally yes, at least enough access to review and adjust the specific zap — where the platform supports it, a shared or collaborator-level invitation is preferable to your full account password.
What if Zapier itself is having an outage?
That's outside what a fix on our end can resolve — we'd confirm this from Zapier's own status page and let you know plainly, since it needs to resolve on Zapier's timeline, not ours.
Could this happen again after it's fixed?
Yes, since it depends on two separate services staying compatible with each other — a future change on either end could break the connection again, which is an inherent characteristic of this kind of integration, not a one-time risk.
Is this different from a direct webhook, without Zapier in the middle?
The diagnostic approach is similar, though a direct webhook has one less intermediary system to check — we'd adapt our diagnosis to whichever setup you actually have.
Will fixing this recover data that was lost while it was broken?
Only if the sending system itself still holds a record of what should have been sent — Zapier's own task history sometimes allows replaying failed tasks, which we'd check as part of the fix if that's relevant to your situation.

If this is the second time this year
A bad update breaking the site is a symptom of updates not being tested first. Care plans run every update on a staging clone before it reaches your live site, which is the actual fix for this happening again.
Your access, your rules
Create a separate admin account for us and delete it when we are done. For anything else, we get in touch and agree a method — never a form field on this site, never by reply to an email.
We back up first, always
Before anything is touched we take a full backup and keep it for 30 days. If a fix goes wrong, we put the site back exactly as it was.
If it is not what you bought
If the problem turns out smaller than what you ordered, we refund the difference. If it is bigger, we stop and send a quote before doing any extra work.
If we cannot fix it
You get back what we received. Diagnosis is on us — you only pay when the problem is actually solved. The payment processor takes its fee before the money reaches us, so we never hold it and it is not ours to return. That is true here as everywhere else.
If it comes back
Reply within seven days of delivery and we put it back on the bench at no cost. The fix is not finished until it holds.
What we are responsible for
If something goes wrong with a fix, our responsibility is limited to what you paid for it. We take a full backup first so mistakes can be undone, and we tell you before doing anything outside what you bought.
