This is a report, not a fix: a full inventory of every cookie your site actually sets, organised into standard categories (necessary, functional, analytics, advertising), so you know precisely what you’re working with before configuring consent tools or answering a compliance question with anything more than a guess.
Cookie audit & categorisation report
Every cookie your site actually sets, categorised — a report, not a fix.
- Full backup taken before we start
- If we can’t fix it, you get your money back
- We never ask for your own password
What we need from you
- Access to browse your site as we scan it for cookies
- Confirmation of any known third-party integrations that might set their own cookies
- Your preferred report format, if you have one
This or something else?
| You want a complete, categorised list of every cookie your site sets | This fix covers it |
| You want the actual consent banner and blocking implemented, not just the audit | Cookie consent banner implementation, or Consent-gated script blocking configuration, once you have this report |
| You want third-party trackers specifically identified, beyond cookies alone | Third-party tracker inventory report, a related, broader version |
| You already know your cookies and just need consent enforcement configured | Consent-gated script blocking configuration |
What we do
- Crawl and scan your site to identify every cookie actually being set
- Categorise each cookie as necessary, functional, analytics, or advertising
- Identify the source of each cookie (your own site or a third-party integration)
- Note the purpose and, where determinable, retention period of each
- Flag anything unexpected or hard to attribute to a known purpose
- Compile findings into a clear, categorised written report
What is included
- A complete, categorised inventory of cookies set by your site
- Source attribution for each cookie, where determinable
- Flags for anything unexpected or unclear
- A clear, written report suitable for compliance reference
Not included
- Implementing a consent banner or blocking based on the findings — separate, related fixes
- Ongoing re-scanning as your site’s scripts and integrations change
- Legal interpretation of what the findings mean for your specific compliance obligations
- Broader third-party tracker inventory beyond cookies specifically
Questions about this fix
How is this different from a third-party tracker inventory?
This focuses specifically on cookies your site sets; a tracker inventory looks more broadly at tracking technologies and data flows that may not rely on cookies at all — related, but a different, sometimes broader scope.
Will this report tell me if I'm compliant?
It gives you accurate, categorised information about what's actually happening on your site, which is a necessary input to a compliance assessment, though the assessment itself is a separate, often legal, judgment.
How often should I get this redone?
Whenever you add a significant new integration, plugin, or tracking tool — cookies set by your site can change without you necessarily realising it, so periodic re-checking is reasonable.
What if the report finds a cookie I don't recognize or expect?
We flag anything unclear or unexpected specifically, since an unattributed cookie is worth investigating rather than simply categorising by guesswork.
Can this report be used directly in my privacy policy?
It's a strong, accurate input for writing or updating a privacy policy's cookie disclosure, though the final policy language is typically drafted or reviewed separately.

If this is the second time this year
A bad update breaking the site is a symptom of updates not being tested first. Care plans run every update on a staging clone before it reaches your live site, which is the actual fix for this happening again.
Your access, your rules
Create a separate admin account for us and delete it when we are done. For anything else, we get in touch and agree a method — never a form field on this site, never by reply to an email.
We back up first, always
Before anything is touched we take a full backup and keep it for 30 days. If a fix goes wrong, we put the site back exactly as it was.
If it is not what you bought
If the problem turns out smaller than what you ordered, we refund the difference. If it is bigger, we stop and send a quote before doing any extra work.
If we cannot fix it
You get back what we received. Diagnosis is on us — you only pay when the problem is actually solved. The payment processor takes its fee before the money reaches us, so we never hold it and it is not ours to return. That is true here as everywhere else.
If it comes back
Reply within seven days of delivery and we put it back on the bench at no cost. The fix is not finished until it holds.
What we are responsible for
If something goes wrong with a fix, our responsibility is limited to what you paid for it. We take a full backup first so mistakes can be undone, and we tell you before doing anything outside what you bought.
