We produce a spreadsheet inventorying every page and post on your site — title, type, word count, last updated date, status — a content-level audit distinct from a data-structure documentation report, useful before a content strategy review or a significant site reorganisation.
Content inventory & site audit spreadsheet
Every page and post inventoried in one spreadsheet — title, type, word count, status.
- Full backup taken before we start
- If we can’t fix it, you get your money back
- We never ask for your own password
What we need from you
- Access to crawl and export the site’s content
- Confirmation of which fields matter most to you, if you want a specific focus
- Your preferred spreadsheet format
This or something else?
| You want every page and post inventoried in a spreadsheet with key details | This fix covers it |
| You want your custom post types and field structures documented instead of content items | Data structure documentation report, in the Integrations & Automation bucket, a different kind of documentation |
| You want entities and topics extracted from content, not a general inventory | Entity & topic extraction report, in the Content & Updates bucket |
| You want thin or orphaned content specifically flagged, not a general inventory | Thin & orphaned content inventory report |
What we do
- Crawl the site comprehensively
- Compile every page and post with its title, type, word count, last updated date, and status
- Organise the spreadsheet for easy filtering and review
- Note any obvious gaps or inconsistencies found along the way
- Deliver the spreadsheet in your preferred format
What is included
- A comprehensive content inventory spreadsheet
- Key details per item (title, type, word count, date, status)
- Organised for filtering and review
- Notes on any obvious gaps found
Not included
- Data structure or custom field documentation — a separate, different kind of report
- Analysis or recommendations beyond the inventory itself
- Fixing anything identified — a separate, related fix if needed
- Ongoing updates as content changes
Questions about this fix
Is this the same as the data structure documentation report?
No — that documents your custom post types and field architecture; this inventories the actual content items themselves, which is a different, complementary view.
Can I request specific additional fields, like author or category?
Yes, if there's specific detail that matters most for your planned use of this inventory, we can include it.
Will this flag content that needs attention, or just list everything?
We note obvious gaps or inconsistencies spotted along the way, though a deeper analysis (like thin or duplicate content specifically) is better served by the dedicated reports for those.
How current will this spreadsheet be by the time I use it?
Accurate as of when it's compiled — content added or changed afterward wouldn't be reflected without a fresh export.
Is this useful for a small site, or only larger ones?
Useful at any scale where you want a clear, complete picture of everything that exists — the value scales with how much content you have to lose track of.

If this is the second time this year
A bad update breaking the site is a symptom of updates not being tested first. Care plans run every update on a staging clone before it reaches your live site, which is the actual fix for this happening again.
Your access, your rules
Create a separate admin account for us and delete it when we are done. For anything else, we get in touch and agree a method — never a form field on this site, never by reply to an email.
We back up first, always
Before anything is touched we take a full backup and keep it for 30 days. If a fix goes wrong, we put the site back exactly as it was.
If it is not what you bought
If the problem turns out smaller than what you ordered, we refund the difference. If it is bigger, we stop and send a quote before doing any extra work.
If we cannot fix it
You get back what we received. Diagnosis is on us — you only pay when the problem is actually solved. The payment processor takes its fee before the money reaches us, so we never hold it and it is not ours to return. That is true here as everywhere else.
If it comes back
Reply within seven days of delivery and we put it back on the bench at no cost. The fix is not finished until it holds.
What we are responsible for
If something goes wrong with a fix, our responsibility is limited to what you paid for it. We take a full backup first so mistakes can be undone, and we tell you before doing anything outside what you bought.
