This report analyses your existing content to identify where an internal link would genuinely help — a page mentioning a topic another page covers in depth, without linking to it — producing a list of specific, suggested links grounded in what your content already says, not an arbitrary linking quota.

  • Your preferred report format, if you have one

This or something else?

You want internal linking opportunities identified from your existing content This fix covers it
You already have a specific map of links to add Internal link insertion from supplied map, in the Content & Updates bucket, the implementation step
You want existing anchor text improved, not new links identified Internal anchor text optimization, in the Content & Updates bucket
You want orphaned pages specifically identified, a narrower, related concern Orphaned page identification report

What we do

  1. Analyse content across the site for genuine linking opportunities
  2. Identify specific instances where a mention could reasonably link to relevant existing content
  3. Prioritise suggestions by relevance and apparent value
  4. Compile findings into a clear, actionable report
  5. Flag any priority pages that would particularly benefit from more inbound links
  6. Provide suggested anchor text for each identified opportunity

What is included

  • A report of specific, genuine internal linking opportunities
  • Suggested anchor text for each
  • Prioritised by relevance and value
  • Flags for priority pages needing more inbound links

Not included

  • Implementing the identified links — a separate, related fix once you approve the suggestions
  • Deciding overall linking strategy — this identifies opportunities from existing content, it doesn’t set strategy
  • Rewriting content to create new linking opportunities that don’t currently exist
  • Ongoing analysis as new content is published

Questions about this fix

Will you insert the links this report identifies?

Not automatically — implementing a map of links (whether from this report or one you've built yourself) is a separate, related fix.

How do you decide what counts as a genuine opportunity versus a forced link?

We look for content that actually, substantively relates to another page rather than linking for the sake of hitting a quota — a forced, tenuous link is worse than no link at all.

Can I tell you which pages I most want more links pointing to?

Yes, flagging priority pages upfront helps us weight the analysis toward opportunities that specifically benefit those pages.

Is this the same as the anchor text optimisation fix?

No — that fix improves the wording of anchor text on links that already exist; this identifies entirely new linking opportunities that don't currently exist at all.

Will this report also flag orphaned pages?

It may surface some as a byproduct, though a dedicated orphaned page report is the more thorough, purpose-built version if that's your primary concern.

A bad update breaking the site is a symptom of updates not being tested first. Care plans run every update on a staging clone before it reaches your live site, which is the actual fix for this happening again.

Your access, your rules

Create a separate admin account for us and delete it when we are done. For anything else, we get in touch and agree a method — never a form field on this site, never by reply to an email.

We back up first, always

Before anything is touched we take a full backup and keep it for 30 days. If a fix goes wrong, we put the site back exactly as it was.

If it is not what you bought

If the problem turns out smaller than what you ordered, we refund the difference. If it is bigger, we stop and send a quote before doing any extra work.

If we cannot fix it

You get back what we received. Diagnosis is on us — you only pay when the problem is actually solved. The payment processor takes its fee before the money reaches us, so we never hold it and it is not ours to return. That is true here as everywhere else.

If it comes back

Reply within seven days of delivery and we put it back on the bench at no cost. The fix is not finished until it holds.

What we are responsible for

If something goes wrong with a fix, our responsibility is limited to what you paid for it. We take a full backup first so mistakes can be undone, and we tell you before doing anything outside what you bought.
